Partnership with Evides

A strong partnership: Vitens and Evides join forces

On 4 December 2006, Vitens signed an agreement with Evides, the water company serving Zuid-Holland and Zeeland. This great day marked the start of a partnership between the two companies for the provision of industrial water services, billing and international activities under the name Vitens-Evides International.

Vitens and Evides are the two largest water companies in the Netherlands, together supplying about 45% of the country’s drinking water. We both see it as our task to contribute to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. And together we want to use our know-how and experience to provide people in developing countries with safe drinking water and good sanitation.

Working together
Prior to 2006, Vitens International and Evides already provided safe drinking water to over 10 million people in developing countries. Together, however, we can achieve much more. We have projects in Yemen, Mongolia, Vietnam, Ghana and Mozambique. In the future, Vitens-Evides International will set up many more projects in developing countries.
